One of the most fulfilling part of the trip was having a night where girls in the area where we stayed came to the house and we had a Girls Talk session. It was so nice and I felt proud of myself for empowering the young ladies and getting it in their head that they were beautiful and worth being loved and that they should focus in school and stay in school so they could become whatever they wanted to be. I learned that I’m a beautiful person both inside and out on this trip. People were so kind and encouraging there and they truly appreciated your beauty. I would say that this trip was confidence booster for me. I also realized that I truly can do anything I set my mind to. I want to go back and run a basketball camp/clinic in St. Vincent and I would have never done that without the encouragement from the Taiwos.
